| Areas of Responsibility |
| * Conducting product development, test methods development, technical service, and production support activities;
* Working closely with Sales to develop and recommend products, as well as application equipment and techniques;
* Assisting Manufacturing Operations in the development and implementation of new/modified production methods to improve quality and increase profitability;
* Providing input to manager on the workload and resources required to ensure timely completion of all projects;
* Formulating new products in current market area, as well as any new product areas to expand the Chem-Trend product line;
* Maintaining a professional image with internal and external customers.

| Qualifications |
| * Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry or closely related field with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience;
* Knowledge of emulsion, oils, polymers, wax and silicone chemistries desired;
* Must be a versatile, innovative and resourceful scientist capable of conducting original, independent development and formulation of chemical specialties;
* Must possess the written/oral skills necessary to effectively communicate complex technical information to colleagues with varied educational backgrounds;
* Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects;
* Good interpersonal skills;
* High degree of motivation and creativity;
* Solid computer skills are required.
