Re-treading companies using the "envelope" curing process can vastly increase efficiency and envelope life with Mono-Lube® 2006 envelope treatment

Chem-Trend is renowned in the world of new tire manufacturing as an innovative supplier of high quality, value-added specialty release agents. That innovation is now available to the re-treading industry.

Chem-Trend has developed a new curing envelope treatment that, once applied in the recommended way to a new curing envelope, eliminates the need for further applications of any release agent throughout the remainder of the life of that envelope. The coating provides easy release from the cured tire and good slip to allow its accurate location over the following uncured re-treaded tire. Curing envelope life is also greatly extended; a typical life for a curing envelope is 40-60 tires. We have seen that life extended to 80 cures and beyond, when using Mono-Lube® 2006. This simplifies the process, saving time, effort and raw material as well as reducing the amount of envelopes required. The significant improvement in efficiency this brings is proving very attractive to the global re-treading industry.
