Chem-Trend Announces New Curing Envelope Treatment for Tire Retreading IndustryNew treatment requires only one application for life of curing envelope Howell, Mich., September 22, 2009 - Chem-Trend, a global manufacturer of release agents and other process chemical specialties, announced today that it has launched Typical life for a tire retread curing envelope is 40 – 60 tires; with Mono-Lube® 2006, that life can be extended by 33 to 100 percent, reducing the number of required envelopes and raw material needed while improving operational efficiency. In addition to providing good release from a cured tire, it also provides good slip, enabling accurate positioning over the next, uncured tire. Unlike conventional envelope treatments, which require multiple applications, Mono-Lube® 2006 is engineered so that it requires only one application for the life of an envelope, consistently maintaining its performance integrity – especially important when adhesives might otherwise stick to the envelope and cause tearing when removed by the operator.
